Recipe Tips

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sautéed garlic and paprika before pouring it over the layers in the baking dish.
If savoy cabbage is unavailable, regular green cabbage or even kale can be used as a substitute for a similar texture.
For a creamier dish, mix in a layer of béchamel sauce or a drizzle of cream before baking.
Feel free to add other vegetables such as carrots or peas to the layers for added color and nutrition.
If you prefer a lighter version, use less olive oil or opt for a cooking spray when sautéing the garlic and paprika.
