Frequently Asked Questions

What can I substitute for all-purpose flour in this recipe?

You can substitute all-purpose flour with coconut flour or almond flour, though you might need to adjust the amounts as these flours absorb more moisture. Start with a smaller quantity and gradually add more until the dough reaches a workable consistency.

How should I store the dried fruit and nut broas after baking?

Once cooled, store the broas in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze them in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

What if my dough is too wet or too dry?

If your dough is too wet, you can add a bit more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until it reaches the desired consistency. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of water or oil gradually until it is more pliable.
