Recipe Tips
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I substitute for whipping cream if I want a lower fat option?
You can substitute the whipping cream with a combination of 1 cup of Greek yogurt and 3/4 cup of milk. This will reduce the fat content while still providing some creaminess to the cake.
How should I store the leftover cream cake?
Store any leftover cream cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to 2 months.
Why did my cake not rise properly?
There could be several reasons for a cake not rising. Ensure that your baking powder is fresh, as old leavening agents can lose their effectiveness. Also, be careful not to overmix the batter, as this can lead to a dense cake. Make sure to measure your ingredients accurately.
