With all your ingredients and equipment gathered, you are ready to get started!

Directions

  1. Start by making some cuts in the baguette (the size you want the slices to be).
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan and combine the minced garlic and chopped parsley.
  3. Put the baguette on a baking sheet and brush generously with the garlic and parsley butter and add butter inside the cuts made in the baguette as well.
  4. Bake at 180°C or 350°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove the bread from the oven, cut into slices and brush with the remaining garlic and parsley butter.

Recipe Tips

Ensure the butter is at room temperature before mixing in the minced garlic and chopped parsley; this will help create a smoother spread and enhance the flavors.
For a more intense garlic flavor, consider roasting the garlic cloves before mincing them. Wrap the whole cloves in foil with a drizzle of olive oil and roast at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes until soft.
A common mistake is not to toast the baguette long enough. After spreading the garlic butter, toast the bread in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy for the best texture.

Beer

Portuguese: Super Bock - A classic Portuguese lager that offers a crisp and refreshing profile, balancing the richness of the bread.
