Recipe Tips

When cleaning squid, ensure to remove the quill and ink sac thoroughly to avoid any bitterness in the final dish. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels before marinating.
For the green sauce, blend the garlic, fresh coriander, and basil with olive oil until smooth. To enhance the flavor, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for heat or a tablespoon of capers for extra depth.
Avoid overcooking the squid, which can make it tough and rubbery. Grill the squid for just 2-3 minutes per side on high heat until they are opaque and slightly charred, then remove them immediately from the grill.

Oh, this should be very popular in Mexico where we live. Fresh squid comes tour local fish market on a daily basis and we love it. Photo looks as if the tentacles have been removed. For what do you suggest to use these? And the sauce should be usable for so many other seafood choices. Thanks!

Joseph, have you tried this Squid Stew Recipe? Perhaps it would be a good option for the tentacles.

I usually fry this part of the squid, using a dusting of flour and garlic. Or coated with a sweet soy glaze. But would be open to trying other options. Google was not too creative/imaginative on the subject.
