Recipe Tips

For maximum flavor, marinate the shrimp in the olive oil, minced garlic, and spices for at least 30 minutes before roasting. This allows the shrimp to absorb the flavors more effectively.
Avoid overcooking the shrimp by roasting them at a high temperature (around 400°F or 200°C) for just 6-8 minutes. Shrimp cook quickly, and overcooking can lead to a rubbery texture.
To enhance the dish, consider adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or zest before serving to brighten the flavors. This can also help balance the richness of the olive oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute the shrimp with another protein?

Yes, you can substitute shrimp with chicken breast or firm fish, but keep in mind that cooking times may vary. Chicken may take a little longer to cook, while fish may require less time.

How should I store leftover roasted shrimp?

Store leftover roasted shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. You can also freeze them for up to 1 month. Just be aware that the texture may change once frozen and reheated.

What should I do if my garlic is not roasting properly?

If your garlic is not softening after 25 minutes, it may need additional time in the oven. Check every 5 minutes, ensuring the pan is covered with foil to retain moisture. If the garlic browns too quickly, consider lowering the oven temperature.
