Directions

  1. Season the shrimp with salt and mix them well.
  2. In a large pan or large frying pan, heat the margarine and the oil, add the garlic, the bay leaves and chili peppers.
  3. Once everything is very hot, add the shrimp.
  4. Cook until the shrimp is fried, then add the beer and boil.
  5. Remove to a plate or platter with a slotted spoon and let the sauce sit for about 5 minutes.
  6. Drizzle the shrimp with the sauce, garnish with lemon slices and serve.

Recipe Tips

Ensure that the shrimp are completely dry before frying. Pat them with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which can cause the oil to splatter and prevent the shrimp from getting crispy.
For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the beer, crushed garlic, and chopped chili peppers for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This will enhance the taste and tenderness of the shrimp.
Avoid overcrowding the frying pan. Fry the shrimp in batches to ensure even cooking and crispiness. Overcrowding can lead to steaming rather than frying, resulting in soggy shrimp.
