Frequently Asked Questions
You can substitute chouriço sausage with other types of spicy sausages like Spanish chorizo, Portuguese linguica, or even a smoked or spicy sausage. For a vegetarian option, consider using a plant-based sausage or sautéed mushrooms for added flavor.
Store any leftover omelette in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a pan or microwave before serving; adding a splash of water or oil can help to keep it moist.
If you notice the omelette is cooking too quickly or starting to burn, lower the heat immediately. You can also cover the pan with a lid for a couple of minutes to help cook the eggs evenly without burning the bottom.
