Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipe | Easy Homemade Garlic Cheese Bread

Make the best cheesy garlic bread at home with Portuguese bread, garlic butter, Parmesan, and melted mozzarella. Perfect side for pasta, soups, or family dinners—crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor!

Ingredients

1 loaf Portuguese bread, about 1 lb1 stick salted butter, at room temperature6 cloves garlic, minced1/4 cup Italian salad dressing1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, dividedFresh Parsley, to garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine the butter, garlic, Italian salad dressing, and 1 cup of the Mozzarella cheese in a large bowl until well incorporated.
  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and spread the top of each half with equal amounts of garlic butter.
  4. Place the halves on a baking sheet, butter side up.
  5. Top with Parmesan cheese, then with remaining Mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  7. Increase heat to 450° and bake for up to 8 additional minutes, until the top begins to brown.
  8. Keep an eye on it during this time.
  9. Remove and cut into 1-inch slices.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve with pasta, soup, or homemade marinara sauce.
