Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Beat 4 egg yolks with the sugar.
- Add the oil, then the flour, and the remaining egg (if the batter is still too thick, add a little milk).
- Whip the 4 egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the batter.
- Divide the batter into two parts, and add the coffee to one of them.
- Pour the batters alternately into a buttered and floured pan.
- Bake for for 45 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
