This easy beer cake recipe delivers a unique, moist texture and a sophisticated malty depth that standard sponges lack. By incorporating a generous amount of beer into a creamed butter and sugar base, the carbonation acts as a natural leavener for a light, airy crumb. It is the perfect golden bundt cake for those seeking a rich flavor profile that isn't overly sweet.

Ingredients

1 and 1/4 cups of sugar1/2 cup of butter2 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour4 eggs3/4 cup plus 6 tablespoons of beer2 teaspoons of of baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C or 350°F.
  2. Beat the butter with the sugar, until you get a fluffy cream.
  3. Add the beer beating constantly, then add the eggs one at a time, and beat for five minutes.
  4. Add the flour mixed with the baking powder, and mix everything well without beating.
  5. Pour into a greased with butter and dusted with flour bundt cake pan.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
