Recipe Tips

For the crispiest fried chicken, marinate the chicken breast in a mixture of buttermilk and spices (like paprika and cayenne) for at least 2 hours or overnight. This helps tenderize the meat and adds flavor.
When frying, ensure that the oil is hot enough (around 350°F or 175°C) before adding the chicken. Use a thermometer or test with a small piece of bread; it should sizzle and brown quickly. If the oil is too cool, the chicken will absorb more oil and become greasy.
Avoid overcrowding the frying pan. Fry the chicken in batches if necessary to maintain the oil temperature and achieve an even, golden-brown crust. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking and soggy chicken.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use other types of meat instead of chicken for this recipe?

Yes, you can use other types of meat such as turkey or even fish. Just adjust the cooking time accordingly to ensure they are fully cooked before shredding.

How should I store leftover fried chicken dreams?

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, you can bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through to maintain crispiness.

What can I do if my chicken balls keep falling apart while frying?

If your chicken balls are falling apart, ensure that your mixture is well combined. Adding an extra egg or some more breadcrumbs can help bind the mixture together. Also, ensure the oil is hot enough before frying, as this can help them hold their shape better.
