With all your ingredients and equipment gathered, you are ready to get started!

Directions

  1. At the bottom of a baking dish add half of the sliced onion and 2 cloves of garlic (minced).
  2. Place the meat on top, next add the potatoes, the rest of the chopped onion and minced garlic, the bay leaves and the rosemary in small branches.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, add the wine and the olive oil and roast in the oven for about 1 hour at 180°C or 350°F or until the meat is roasted and the vegetables are cooked.

Recipe Tips

To enhance the flavor of the turkey legs, marinate them in a mixture of olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and a splash of white wine for at least 4 hours or overnight. This will allow the herbs to penetrate the meat, making it more flavorful.
When roasting the turkey, ensure that the oven is preheated to 375°F (190°C) before placing the turkey legs inside. This helps achieve a crispy skin while keeping the meat juicy. Avoid opening the oven door frequently, as this can cause heat loss and uneven cooking.
Common mistake: Do not overcrowd the roasting pan with vegetables. Spread the potatoes and carrots evenly around the turkey legs to allow for even roasting and caramelization. If necessary, use a larger pan or roast the vegetables separately to avoid steaming them.
