Recipe Tips
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I substitute the flour with a gluten-free option?
Yes, you can substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend. Make sure to check that the blend includes xanthan gum or add it separately to help with the dough's structure.
How should I store the leftover twists?
Store the leftover cinnamon and sugar twists in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. If you want to keep them longer, you can freeze them for up to a month. Just make sure to let them cool completely before freezing.
What should I do if the dough is too sticky?
If the dough remains too sticky even after adding the vinegar, gradually incorporate more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough reaches a non-sticky consistency. Be cautious not to add too much flour, which can make the twists tough.
