With all your ingredients and equipment gathered, you are ready to get started!

Directions

  1. Powder or crush the Maria biscuits into small bits.
  2. Whip the cream until it turns into soft peaks.
  3. Add the condensed milk, vanilla extract and whip again until stiff peaks are formed. Do not over whip or else you will end up with butter. I recommend using a blender.
  4. In glass bowls, first put a layer of Maria biscuits powder or crushed.
  5. Add a layer of cream and repeat  with further layers of Maria biscuits and cream  (Make sure that  the Maria biscuits layer is very thin so it can be softened by the cream).
  6. The last layer should be a very thin layer of Maria biscuits, just a sprinkle.
  7. Garnish by sprinkling chocolate shavings over it.
  8. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and take it out 15 minutes before serving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute the Maria biscuits with other types of cookies?

Yes, you can use other cookies like digestive biscuits, graham crackers, or even Oreos. Just be mindful that different cookies might slightly alter the flavor and texture of the pudding.

How can I store leftover Yum Sawdust Pudding?

Store any leftover pudding in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing, as the texture may change when thawed.

What should I do if my whipped cream didn’t reach stiff peaks?

If your whipped cream didn't reach stiff peaks, it may be due to the cream being too warm or not enough fat content. Make sure to use heavy cream that’s cold, and re-whip until you achieve the desired consistency. If it remains soft, consider using a stabilizer like powdered sugar or cornstarch.
