Tips & Variations

- For a richer flavor, consider using fresh vanilla beans instead of vanilla powder. Scrape the seeds from 1 bean and add it to the melted butter for a more intense vanilla aroma.
- Make sure to sift your flour before measuring it to avoid compacting, which can lead to dense biscuits. Alternatively, spoon the flour into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife for the most accurate measurement.
- Avoid overmixing the dough once you combine the wet and dry ingredients. Mix just until combined to ensure the biscuits remain light and fluffy. Overmixing can develop gluten, resulting in tougher biscuits.
