Frequently Asked Questions
What can I substitute for linguiça sausage if I can't find it?
If linguiça sausage is unavailable, you can substitute it with chorizo or any other spicy sausage like Andouille. For a lighter option, turkey sausage works well too.
How should I store leftovers of the chicken and linguiça stew?
Store leftover stew in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months; just make sure to let it cool completely before transferring it to a freezer-safe container.
What should I do if my stew turns out too salty?
If your stew is too salty, you can balance the flavor by adding more unsalted chicken broth, or you can add a peeled potato and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes; it will absorb some of the excess salt.
