Recipe Tips

Ensure that the salt cod is properly pre-soaked for 24-48 hours, changing the water several times to remove excess salt. This is crucial for achieving the right flavor and texture.
When making the corn bread crumble, toast the corn bread in a skillet with a little olive oil until golden brown and crispy. This adds a delightful crunch to your dish and enhances the flavor.
Avoid overcooking the cod steaks; they should be cooked just until flaky, about 10-15 minutes depending on thickness. Overcooking can lead to a dry texture, diminishing the overall enjoyment of the dish.
