Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute the milk with a non-dairy alternative?

Yes, you can use almond milk, coconut milk, or soy milk as a substitute for dairy milk. Just ensure that the non-dairy milk is unsweetened to maintain the flavor balance in the tarts.

What should I do if the tarts don't rise or are dense?

If the tarts do not rise or are dense, it could be due to over-mixing the batter or not using fresh eggs. Make sure to mix the ingredients until just combined and use eggs that are within their sell-by date for the best results.

How do I store leftover orange tarts?

Store any leftover tarts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. To prolong their freshness, you can also freeze them for up to 3 months. Just allow them to cool completely before freezing.
