Ingredients

4 pork chops (approximately 7-9 oz each)1 fresh pineapple, sliced (or canned, drained well)2 tablespoons olive oil2 cloves garlic, minced1 teaspoon soy sauce1 tablespoon honey or brown sugarSalt and pepper to taste1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the pork chops and ensure they are well coated with the marinade.
  3. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the pork chops and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
  7. In the same skillet, add the pineapple slices and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and caramelized.
  8. You can add more honey or sugar if you prefer a sweeter flavor.
  9. Serve the pork chops on plates, topped with the caramelized pineapple slices.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
