Frequently Asked Questions
What can I substitute for puff pastry in this recipe?
You can use a shortcrust pastry or a homemade pie crust as a substitute for puff pastry. If you're looking for a gluten-free option, consider using a gluten-free pie dough.
How should I store leftover apple and cinnamon tart?
Leftover tart can be stored in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, for up to 3 days. To maintain the crispness of the crust, reheat in the oven before serving.
What should I do if my tart filling doesn't set properly after baking?
If the filling doesn't set, it could be due to insufficient baking time or too much liquid. Make sure to bake until the center is just set and slightly jiggly; it will continue to firm up as it cools. Consider adding a bit more cornstarch next time if it's too runny.
