  8. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Note: If you wish to store the biscuits, let them cool completely before placing them in an airtight container.

Recipe Tips

Ensure that your olive oil is of good quality, as it greatly affects the flavor of the biscuits. Avoid using heavily flavored oils, which can overpower the taste of the biscuits.
When measuring flour, spoon it into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife to avoid packing it down, which can lead to dry biscuits. If the dough feels too sticky, add a tablespoon of flour at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Don't overmix the dough after adding the flour; mix just until combined. Overmixing can lead to tough biscuits. If you want a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract to the dough along with the cinnamon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different type of oil instead of olive oil in this biscuit recipe?

Yes, you can substitute olive oil with another neutral oil such as vegetable or canola oil. However, keep in mind that using a different type of oil may slightly alter the flavor of the biscuits.

How should I store the biscuits to maintain their freshness?

Let the biscuits cool completely after baking, then store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They should stay fresh for up to a week. For longer storage, consider freezing them.

What should I do if the dough is too sticky to work with?

If the dough is too sticky, try dusting your hands and working surface with a bit more flour. You can also chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, which may help it firm up for easier handling.
