Preparation
- In a bowl, beat the whole egg, egg whites, and sugar until you obtain a voluminous mixture.
- Add the shredded coconut and mix well until it combines with the previous mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on the parchment paper (if you choose, place a candied cherry or sliced almonds on top of each ball).
- Lightly oil your hands to prevent the coconut from sticking while shaping the balls.
- Bake for about 25 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
- They are ready when they start to turn a toasted color.
Makes about 20 treats.
