Instructions
- Cook the codfish and set aside.
- Slice the onion and sauté in olive oil with the minced garlic.
- Add the cooked and shredded codfish.
- Season with salt and pepper (to taste).
- Add the heavy cream, adjust the seasoning and set aside.
- Peel, wash, and thinly slice the potatoes.
- In a baking dish, layer the potatoes and the codfish mixture alternately.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 300°F for about 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Before serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
