Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different type of fat instead of butter/margarine for the base?

Yes, you can substitute butter with coconut oil, vegetable oil, or even applesauce for a healthier option. Just keep in mind that the texture may vary slightly.

How should I store leftovers of the apple pie?

Store any leftover apple pie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also freeze it for longer storage; just make sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil.

What can I do if my cream filling is too runny?

If your cream filling turns out too runny, you can mix in an extra tablespoon of cornstarch with a bit of milk to create a slurry. Cook it again briefly until thickened, then let it cool before spreading it on the pie crust.
