Recipe Tips

Avoid overcooking the seafood: Since the shrimp, calamari, and scallops are already cooked, add them to the pasta dish towards the end of the cooking process. Otherwise, they can become rubbery and lose their delicate texture.
Use reserved pasta water for better sauce consistency: When cooking your pasta, save a cup of the pasta cooking water before draining. This starchy water can be added to the olive oil and seafood mix to help emulsify the sauce, giving it a richer texture and ensuring it clings to the pasta.
Fresh basil is key: To bring out the best flavor, add the chopped fresh basil at the very end of cooking, just before serving. This will preserve its bright flavor and vibrant color, making your dish visually appealing and delicious.
