Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different type of cookie instead of Maria biscuits?
Yes, you can substitute Maria biscuits with any mild-flavored cookie, such as vanilla wafers or digestive biscuits. Just keep in mind that the texture and taste may vary slightly.
How should I store leftover Papas de Bolacha Maria?
If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. However, the biscuits may continue to soften, so it's best enjoyed fresh.
What can I do if the biscuits didn’t soften enough after adding the milk?
If the biscuits don’t soften as expected, you can try adding a bit more hot milk and letting them sit for a few additional minutes, or gently stirring them to help them break down.
