Recipe Tips

Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crosshatch pattern before cooking. This helps the fat render out more efficiently, resulting in a crispier skin and more flavorful meat.
When combining the orange juice, white wine, honey, and water for the sauce, make sure to simmer it down to concentrate the flavors. Aim for a syrupy consistency before serving, which will enhance the richness of the dish.
Avoid overcrowding the pan when frying the duck breasts. Cook them one at a time if necessary, as too much meat in the pan can lower the temperature and result in steaming rather than frying, preventing that desirable crispy skin.
