Crispy Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders Recipe


Ingredients
3 chicken breasts9 slices of bacon1 tablespoon of olive oil3 tablespoons of Port wine1 teaspoon of Dijon mustardSalt to tasteFreshly ground black pepper
Preparation

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into a total of 9 strips. 
  2. Preheat a skillet on the stove over medium heat.
  3. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the Port wine, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  5. Rub the mixture onto the chicken fillets.
  6. Wrap a slice of bacon around each chicken strip and place them in the preheated skillet.
  7. Adjust the salt to taste.
  8. Cook for about 15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crisp, keep rotating so all sides are cooked.
  9. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.

The original recipe uses maple syrup, I replaced that with Port wine.
