  • 12 leaves of Collard Greens (cut in small pieces)
  • 1/2 a cabbage (cut in small pieces)
  • 2 Portuguese Chouriços
  • 4 1/2 pounds of stewing beef (with the bone)
  • 2 onions
  • 5 carrots cut in thin rounds
  • 8 large potatoes (cut in cube size pieces)
  • 1 1/2 cups of orzo pasta
  • Salt for seasoning
  • Fresh mint
  • 5 buns ( 1-3 day old bread) or you can use any white bread
