Portuguese Fried Fish

  • 2,5 kg Kingklip (cut into small portions)
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cloves Garlic; minced
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 Lemons; juiced
  • 5 Eggs; whisked
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cup Neutral Oil


  1. Season the fish portions with salt, garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Combine well and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a medium skillet.
  3. Dip the fish in flour, then eggs and fry immediately. Fry the fish 3 minutes per side.
