Together with my two boys, used to help my in-laws every year with making chouricos in the Fall up at the cottage. They were from the island of Graciosa. Sadly they passed away more than 20 years ago and regretfully, so did the tradition of making them. I have saved this recipe and video and will attempt to make some this year as your video brought back so many memories.Thank you so much for sharing your tradition with us.

Hey Ed, Is it 9 heads or 9 cloves of garlic for the chouriço recipe? 9 heads seems to be excessive
